Coralville, Iowa, USA, April 11, 2017 (Leepfrog Technologies, Inc.) –Leepfrog Technologies announces the completion of their expansion into the University of Iowa Research Park, 2451 Oakdale Boulevard in Coralville, and is holding an open house Tuesday, April 18 from 4 p.m-6:30 p.m. The open house highlights the company’s second relocation in just four years to accommodate increased staffing. The firm will continue to maintain its datacenter at 2105 ACT Circle in Iowa City.
Hosted in collaboration with Iowa-based construction and architectural firms, Build to Suit and ASK Studio, the open house will showcase the new construction for current and future clients, partners and investors, and the local business community. Catered hors d’ oeuvres and a barista will be part of the event. RSVP not required, but appreciated, at rsvp@leepfrog.com.
Expansion is nothing new to the 23 year old, privately-owned software development start-up; remarkable growth has outpaced the company’s space demands in the past. The company began growing rapidly in 2009 and swelled from 12 to 60 employees by 2013 when it opened a 7,200 sq. ft. second location at 2300 Oakdale Boulevard at the UI Research Park. Its most recent move to the alluring, new, 20,585 sq. ft. headquarters took place on February 20.
“Our roots have been in the Iowa City area for over two decades now, so we’re extremely excited to be able to remain grounded in the area and close to others in the academic software space such as ACT, Ruffalo Noel Levitz, and Pearson who also made a footprint here,” stated Leepfrog Technologies President and CEO, Lee Brintle.
“As we’ve continued to build upon our flagship product line, CourseLeaf, we’ve experienced continued and significant growth over the past six years and again needed additional staff and space to maintain that growth. Our team continues to embrace our clients’ needs for new technologies and the excitement surrounding that dedication, focus, and recent expansion is something to be celebrated, not only by the Leepfrog team but also by our clients and friends in the local business community,” Brintle commented.
Founded in 1994 as a corporation in Iowa City, Leepfrog has performed hundreds of web-based software development projects for colleges, universities, businesses, and non-profit organizations. Best known in the higher education industry for their CourseLeaf suite of catalog, curriculum, and scheduling management solutions, Leepfrog software is used by over 240 of the most academically complex institutions in the United States and Canada. Each year over 30,000 students, faculty, and staff at the University of Iowa use Leepfrog’s CourseLeaf software.
Leepfrog has grown to nearly 80 employees and is currently hiring for positions in sales and marketing, web development, training, and systems integration. Career information is posted on the Leepfrog Technologies website: www.leepfrog.com/careers.
“Our goal is to continue to deliver fantastic software-based solutions that will enhance our clients’ experience,” noted Brintle. “We hope to spend the foreseeable future at our new location doing just that. We are proud to be an Iowa-based company and a contributing and driving force behind the growth of high-tech industries in the State. As technology continues to evolve, we hope to evolve with it in Coralville.”
